Alaska PTA Military Family Dialogues
The Alaska Parent-Teachers Association has received a grant from the Alaska Legislature to conduct a series of dialogues to discuss Alaska’s capacity to support its military and military families in Kodiak, Fairbanks and Anchorage. There will be panel discussions and guest speakers to address specific concerns with opportunities for the audience to discuss additional issues that affect military families. We will collect ‘good practices’, identify what services are most needed and provide information about services for families that are current.
The results of the three dialogues will published and distributed to all State PTA’s, Alaska Legislature, Alaska’s Federal Delegation, National Military Family Association and made available on the Alaska PTA website.
Oct 13th, Fairbanks, Pikes Waterfront Landing
Oct 14th, Anchorage, Marriott Downtown Hotel
Oct 16th, Best Western Kodiak
This will be the third summit affecting military families that the Alaska PTA has hosted. The Alaska PTA is 52 years old with over 10,500 members and is a registered non-profit, 501c3 organization that is non-partisan.
