Alaska PTA Military Families
April is the Month of the Military Child: Military children are special. They are asked to move frequently, attend numerous schools, live without a military parent during deployments, provide support and encouragement to the non deployed parent and carry on and live a “normal” life. In the face of so many challenges military children are flexible courageous and adaptable. For more information click here.
Alaska has a large number of Military Families. Rare is the school community that is not touched by military especially in the current situation. The following resources are provided for those who work with or have Military Families in your communities.
