Mary Meacham has been a PTA member for 8 years. Mary was appointed to serve as a member to the PTA in hopes of bringing a parents’ perspective to PTA in September 2000. She was then elected in September 2001 to serve as the PTA Vice-President. She currently serves as the Advocacy Chair Representative on the Board of Managers for the Alaska State PTA.
Mary is a dedicated member who actively supports Families and children in voicing concerns to Legislative Administration for child health, safety and welfare in the State of Alaska. Mary is the parent of a special needs son who advocates for Families in a united effort of one voice.
Mary builds community relationships and presents new ideas for changes in laws and policies effecting today’s youth.
Mary is the owner of a successful school fundraising business, Cookies 4 U, est. in July 2002. Mary volunteers with many groups including, Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue, Northstar Speedway & Alpenglow Elementary Choir Group. Mary received the Alaska School Volunteer of the Year in 2006.
Mary has been married for 18 years to Robert Meacham and has 2 children.
